Monitor Reports

This article details the reporting monitors available under the Reports > Monitors section in RTS.

These monitors are designed to provide at-a-glance, real-time (or near real-time) insights into various aspects of your theatre's operations.
They are especially useful for quickly checking sales performance, staffing, and terminal activity without needing to run full reports.

Chromecast Monitor

  1. Reports > Monitors > Chromecast Monitor
The Chromecast Monitor displays the current status of all Chromecasts throughout the theatre. These devices are typically used for concession menus, movie posters, advertisements, showtime boards, and other visual displays.
This monitor provides a quick overview to ensure all Chromecast devices are online and functioning correctly, allowing staff to quickly identify and resolve any display issues.
  1. Breakdown:
    1. Status: Indicates whether the Chromecast is currently online.
    2. Name: The name assigned to the Chromecast device.

Sales Monitor

  1. Reports > Monitors > Sales
The Sales Monitor provides an at-a-glance view of daily sales and cash drawer levels for all active stations.
This real-time report is useful for quickly checking performance across the theatre.

You can filter the view by predefined filters or select individual stations to see specific sales data.
For custom filters, the associated stations can be configured in RTS by clicking the Configure button.
The PerCap Concessions tab of the monitor only shows  item sales that have the "Use to Calculate Percap" setting enabled. This setting can be managed under Setup > Concessions > Items > Settings.
Notes
Note: The Configure feature is not available in Web Reporting.

Ticket Monitor

  1. Reports > Monitors > Ticket Monitor
The Ticket Monitor provides real-time information on ticket sales for each movie performance. It offers a color-coded status system to quickly identify the current availability of seats.
  1. Color Indicators:
    1. 🟢 Green – No tickets sold for the performance.
    2. ⚫ Black – Some tickets sold, but seating is still widely available.
    3. 🟡 Yellow – Limited seating available; the performance is nearing a sellout.
    4. 🔴 Red – The performance is sold out.
Each entry will show a seat count format such as 0 << 250, where:
  1. 0 is the number of tickets currently sold.
  2. 250 is the total number of seats in the auditorium.
This tool allows theatre staff to quickly monitor show performance and anticipate high-traffic times.
