This article covers the available reports under Reports → Tickets.

These reports provide detailed insights into ticket sales, attendance, revenue, and performance trends.
These reports help theatres analyze ticketing data for a variety of needs, such as distributor reporting, internal auditing, and forecasting.
Each report offers filters and customization options to fine-tune the data displayed, making it easier to generate targeted reports for specific timeframes, movies, or operational needs.


Advanced Ticket Sales

  1. Reports > Ticket > Advanced Ticket Sales
The Advanced Ticket Sales Report displays all tickets purchased before a specified date for performances occurring on or after that date.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Flexible Date Range: Unlike the Advanced Sales report under the Deposit category, this report doesn't limit you to a single date.
    2. No Matured Sales: This report does not include matured (already occurred) sales, focusing only on future performances.
    3. Ideal for Upcoming Releases: Perfect for tracking pre-sales for new movie releases to gauge audience interest and plan accordingly.
This report is especially useful for identifying early demand for upcoming shows and preparing staffing, concessions, or promotional materials based on anticipated attendance.





Bookings By Sales Channel

  1. Reports > Ticket > Bookings By Sales Channel
The Bookings By Sales Channel report breaks down all ticket sales by the platform or sales channel through which they were made—such as the RTS App, Internet Ticketing, Kiosks, APIs, and POS Stations (in-house sales).
  1. Key Features:
    1. Date Filters: Can be run based on either the purchase date or the performance date.
    2. Channel Grouping: Sales are grouped by channel, making it easy to compare performance across different platforms.
    3. Detailed Breakdown:
      1. Shows each movie title and ticket type sold through the channel.
      2. Includes a percentage breakdown:
        1. Per Title/Type: Represents the proportion of that title/ticket type within the specific channel.
        2. Per Channel (bolded value): Represents the channel’s total sales as a percentage of all sales across channels.
    4. Sales Column: Displays the total revenue for each line item, including price and applicable tax.
  2. Example:
    1. If the Greg group (an API) shows:
    2. Batman Adult Matinee” at 89%, that means 89% of Greg’s total sales were for that ticket type.
    3. The bold 22.05% under Greg indicates that Greg made up 22.05% of total sales across all channels.
  3. This report is particularly helpful for:
    1. Evaluating the performance of third-party vendors and in-house sales.
    2. Making informed decisions about marketing strategies and partnerships.
    3. Identifying which channels are driving the most sales for specific titles.





Boxoffice

  1. Reports > Tickets > Boxoffice
The Boxoffice Report is used to generate weekly film performance summaries for selected titles.
It provides a detailed breakdown of ticket sales by week for each movie.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Per-Film Reporting: Each film that you check off will generate its own report.
    2. Sales Breakdown: Reports show weekly ticket sales data to help track how each title performs over time.
    3. Week Number Logic:
      1. The Week Number is calculated based on the first scheduled performance date at the theatre.
      2. This may differ from the release date listed under Setup > Films > Edit.
    4. Red Titles: Any title displayed in red has a Week Number of 0 or less, indicating that its showtimes are scheduled before the official opening week.
  2. To Generate A Boxoffice Report:
    1. Select a Start Date and End Date.
    2. Click Reload Titles.
    3. Choose one of the following:
      1. Check All Titles for a general overview of the selected time period.
      2. Or, check individual titles to display separate reports for each.
    4. Click View to load your selected reports.
  3. This report is especially useful for:
    1. Film distributors who require detailed weekly sales data.
    2. Internal tracking of movie performance trends across multiple weeks.
    3. Identifying pre-release activity or early screenings.

Ticket Checker

  1. Reports > Ticket > Checker
The Ticket Checker Report is designed to provide a ticket sales summary to ticket checkers hired by distributors.
It helps verify attendance and sales data for specific showtimes.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Closed Showtimes Only: Only closed performances are included in the report to ensure accurate, finalized sales data.
    2. Selective Reporting: You can select specific film titles and showtimes to tailor the report to the ticket checker’s needs.
    3. Purpose: Ideal for fulfilling auditing or verification requests from film distributors.


Daily Ticket

Film Admissions

  1. Reports > Ticket > Film Admissions
The Film Admissions Report is used to view the number of attendees for specific movies over a selected date range.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Tracks Attendance: Displays the total number of admissions for each film during the specified timeframe.
    2. Flexible Date Range: Can be run for any custom start and end date.
    3. Film-Specific Insights: Useful for identifying high-performing movies based on audience turnout.
  2. Report Use Instructions:
    1. Search for a Title and select it from the list.
    2. Use the Set First and Last Performance button to auto-fill the date range, or manually enter a custom range.
    3. Click View Details to add the selection to the Details list.
This report is helpful for analyzing movie popularity, fulfilling distributor reporting requirements, and understanding overall attendance trends.




Gross Summary

  1. Reports > Ticket > Gross Summary
The Gross Film Summary Report provides an at-a-glance view of total admissions and ticket sales for each film during a selected date range.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Admissions Overview: Displays the total number of tickets sold per film.
    2. Gross Revenue: Shows the total sales revenue generated by each title.
    3. Quick Comparison: Useful for comparing performance across multiple films at once.
    4. Report Filters: Filters are available for specific movie types (IMAX, D-Box, or custom entries) based on the film title and film settings.
This report is ideal for high-level sales tracking and quick insight into which movies are performing best financially.





Hourly Ticket Sales

  1. Reports > Ticket > Hourly Sales
The Hourly Sales Report provides a breakdown of ticket sales by hour throughout the day.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Hourly Breakdown: Displays the number of tickets sold for each movie during each hour.
    2. Total Per Hour: Includes a cumulative total of all ticket sales per hour across all titles.
    3. Performance Insight: Helps identify peak sales periods and monitor showtime effectiveness.
This report is especially useful for analyzing sales trends and optimizing scheduling or staffing based on high-traffic times.






Internet Ticket Sales

  1. Reports > Ticket > Internet Ticket Sales
The Internet Ticket Sales Report is designed as a companion to the API Sales Report (formerly known as the Fandango Sales Report).
While the API Sales Report focuses on sales amounts, the Internet Ticket Sales Report provides a ticket quantity breakdown for each selected API (third-party/external integrator).
  1. Report Types:
    1. There are five report types available, each determining how the data is grouped:
      1. Day – Groups ticket sales by individual day.
      2. Week – Groups ticket sales by week.
      3. Month – Groups ticket sales by month.
      4. Year – Groups ticket sales by year.
      5. Summary – Provides an overall total for the selected time period without date grouping.
This report is useful for tracking how many tickets were sold through various online platforms and identifying trends in internet ticketing across different timeframes.
The examples below compare the Summary and Day report types to show how grouping affects the displayed data.






Ticket Log

  1. Reports > Ticket > Log
The Ticket Log Report displays a detailed list of each individual ticket sold for a showtime that starts on the specified day.
This report provides insights into ticket sales at a granular level, showing each transaction linked to a particular showtime.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Film Selection: By default, the report will display all films. To narrow down the results, select a specific film.
    2. Showtime and Ticket Types: After selecting a film, the report will show the corresponding showtimes and ticket types for the chosen date range.
    3. API Filter: The report opens with the API Filter set to "No API Filter", but this can be adjusted to focus on sales from specific APIs if needed.
This report is especially useful for tracking specific ticket sales by individual showtimes and can help with detailed performance analysis for ticket sales on a per-movie or per-showtime basis.





Occupancy

  1. Reports > Ticket > Occupancy
The Occupancy Report provides insights into how full the theatre was for a given showtime during a specific week.
This report helps assess occupancy levels for each film and showtime, offering a clear view of seating utilization.
  1. Key Report Types:
    1. Week Total: The top row displays the total occupancy for the week. This gives an overview of all sales across the week for all films.
    2. Title Summary: The middle section shows a summary of occupancy by title, offering a breakdown by movie title for the selected week.
    3. Details: The bottom section provides detailed information on each individual showtime, including exact occupancy data for each performance.
  2. Breakdown:
    1. Seats Sold / Total Seats: The number in parentheses represents the number of seats sold out of the total number of available seats for each performance.
This report is useful for tracking overall theatre occupancy and can help identify trends in seating demand for each film across different timeslots.






Occupancy Rate

  1. Reports > Ticket > Occupancy Rate
The Occupancy Rate Report provides insights into shows that have reached a certain occupancy threshold, helping you identify sold-out performances or shows that are close to being sold out.
This report allows you to set a percentage of seats that must be sold for a show to be considered "sold out."
  1. Key Features:
    1. Customizable Sold-Out Threshold: You can specify what percentage of the theatre's seats must be sold to consider a show sold out. This is especially useful for accounting for seats that may not be sold, such as wheelchair accessible seating.
    2. Identify High-Demand Shows: The report helps you quickly identify which shows have sold over a specified percentage of seats, offering a detailed view of the theatre’s most popular performances.
This report is useful for tracking sales performance and can help manage seating expectations, especially for shows with varying seating availability.

Screenvision Attendance Summary

  1. Reports > Ticket > Screenvision Attendance
The Screenvision Attendance Report provides the number of attendees for each movie during a specified date range.
This report is essential for tracking the audience turnout for movies and can be used for distributor reporting and analysis.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Attendance Data: Displays the total number of people in attendance for each movie during the selected time period.
    2. Date Range Flexibility: The report can be customized to any start and end date, allowing for a wide range of attendance tracking.
    3. Performance Overview: Helps identify which movies are performing well in terms of attendance and which may require promotional adjustments.
This report is valuable for analyzing movie popularity and audience engagement, assisting in decision-making for future film bookings or promotions.





Ticket Breakdown

  1. Reports > Ticket > Ticket Breakdown
The Ticket Breakdown Report provides a detailed view of ticket sales and attendance by day and by movie title.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Daily Totals: View ticket sales and attendance for each movie on a day-by-day basis.
  2. Filtering Options:
    1. Use the radio buttons at the bottom of the search screen to filter by category (e.g., Adult, Child, Other).
    2. Selecting Other and typing "3D" in the search box will narrow results to 3D showings.
    3. You can also search by movie title to focus the report on a specific film.
This report is especially useful for tracking title performance across multiple days and identifying trends in specific formats like 3D or IMAX.





Top Attendance

  1. Reports > Ticket > Top Attendance
The Top Attendance Report displays each day of the selected year, sorted by the number of tickets sold (from highest to lowest).
  1. Key Features:
    1. Year-Based Overview: Select a specific year to view daily attendance.
    2. Sorted by Popularity: Days are ranked by ticket sales, allowing you to quickly identify the busiest days of the year.
    3. Attendance Tracking: Useful for spotting trends, planning staffing, or identifying peak days for future planning.





Top Movies

  1. Reports > Ticket > Top Movies
The Top Movies Report displays the highest-grossing movies based on total ticket sales within the selected date range.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Gross Sales Ranking: Lists movies in order of total revenue earned.
    2. Customizable Results: Choose how many top-performing titles you'd like the report to display.
    3. Date Range Flexibility: Run the report for any custom date range to analyze recent trends or compare time periods.



Weekly Gross

  1. Reports > Ticket > Weekly
The Weekly Ticket Report displays ticket sales for each movie over a 7-day period starting from the selected date. This report is commonly used to report daily box-office receipts to film bookers.
  1. Key Features:
    1. 7-Day Projection: View sales for each title over the next 7 days from the chosen start date.
    2. Booker-Friendly Format: Ideal for submitting daily grosses to your film booker.
    3. Individual Filtering: Narrow the report to a specific distributor if needed.
    4. Comparison Option: Enable the "Compare" checkbox to view side-by-side comparisons with the previous week’s grosses, along with percentage changes.
    5. Attendance Tracking: If the "Include Attendance" checkbox is selected, an additional line showing film attendance will be added to the report.
      1. Note: On the comparison version of the report, attendance will be the second set of numbers listed under the title.







Vehicle Admissions

  1. Reports > Ticket > Vehicle Admissions
The Vehicle Admissions Report is designed specifically for Drive-In Theatres. It provides a breakdown of how many vehicles attended each showtime within a selected date range.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Vehicle Count: Tracks the number of vehicles in attendance per showtime.
    2. Advanced Sales: Includes details on tickets purchased in advance.
    3. Drive-In Specific: Tailored for venues that admit guests by vehicle rather than individual seats.





YTD Attendance Comparison

  1. Reports > Ticket > YTD Attendance Comparison
The Year-To-Date (YTD) Attendance Comparison Report allows users to compare admission numbers across different years.
  1. Key Features:
    1. Yearly Comparison: View side-by-side comparisons of total attendance by date range for multiple years.
    2. Trend Analysis: Useful for spotting growth, seasonal patterns, or declines in attendance over time.
    3. Custom Date Range: Users can select a single year comparison or multi-year comparison.
