Daily or Open Tickets Report
- Reports > Ticket > Daily / Open
The Daily or Open Ticket Report provides detailed insights into ticket sales for a specific day or date range.
This report can be used to track various aspects of ticket sales, including total tickets sold, revenue, and attendance for each showtime.
There are many advanced options available to further customize the data displayed, which can be accessed by clicking the Advanced Options button.
- Depending on where you access this report from:
- Reports → Tickets → Daily will default to closed dates, showing only showtimes that have been finalized and closed.
- Reports → Tickets → Open will default to open dates, displaying all showtimes that have been sold but not yet closed.
This flexibility allows you to get an at-a-glance overview of both completed and ongoing sales, making it easier to track sales performance throughout the day.
Daily / Open Ticket Report Options
The Daily / Open Ticket Report offers a variety of options to filter and customize the data you see.
These options help focus on specific ticket sales, attendance, and revenue metrics for particular showtimes, date ranges, or other criteria.
There are several other customization options available to tailor the Daily / Open Ticket Report to your needs:
- No Passes:
- Select False if you do not want the report to include tickets that were issued as passes (free tickets). This option ensures that only paid tickets are reflected in the report.
- Output All Films:
- Select True to narrow the report to only include selected films. When this option is selected, ensure that "Output All Films" is set to False, and the report type should be set to "Closed".
- This allows you to generate a report for specific films or showtimes, providing a more focused analysis.
- Report Type:
- You can choose between different report types based on your data preferences:
- Open Tickets: Displays showtimes that have not yet been closed and have sold tickets.
- Closed Tickets: Focuses on showtimes for which tickets have been closed.
- Both Open and Closed Tickets: If you want to analyze both open and closed ticket sales, you can select this option for a complete overview of ticket sales.
- Revenue Type:
- Choose between Net Sales or Gross Sales to adjust the revenue data displayed in your report.
- Net Sales reflects ticket sales after deductions, such as taxes or discounts.
- Gross Sales shows the total ticket sales before any deductions.
Auditorium Sales Summary
The Auditorium Sales Summary section displays sales data broken down by individual auditoriums.
This allows you to assess how each auditorium is performing in terms of ticket sales and revenue, making it easier to spot trends or issues in specific locations.
- Report Columns Explained:
- Gross: Total gross revenue from ticket sales in the auditorium (includes tax).
- Net: Net revenue, which is the gross amount minus any applicable taxes.
- Tax: The total tax collected from ticket sales in that auditorium.
- Issued: The number of tickets that were issued to customers (this includes all sales regardless of status).
- Refund: The number of tickets that were refunded or voided.
- Total Sold: The final count of tickets sold, factoring in any refunds or voids.
- Auditorium: The auditorium number for reference.
This summary is useful for comparing auditorium performance, identifying popular screening rooms, and verifying sales against capacity or expected attendance.
Distributor Sales Summary
The Distributor Sales Summary section displays ticket sales data grouped by distributor (if a distributor has been assigned to your films).
This report is especially helpful for managing distributor settlements and tracking performance by studio or content provider.
- Report Columns Explained:
- Gross: Total gross revenue from ticket sales associated with the distributor (includes tax).
- Net: Net revenue after subtracting applicable taxes.
- Tax: The total amount of tax collected from ticket sales tied to the distributor.
- Issued: The number of tickets issued to customers for the distributor’s films (regardless of status).
- Refund: The number of tickets refunded or voided.
- Total Sold: Final ticket count after accounting for refunds and voids.
- Distributor: The name of the distributor assigned to the film(s).
This summary provides a clear snapshot of how much revenue each distributor is generating, helping to streamline revenue sharing and reporting obligations.
- Report Options:
- With Ticket Type: If this option is selected, the report will include a breakdown of sales for each ticket type (e.g., Adult, Child, Senior, etc.) for every individual performance. This is highlighted in the example below.
- Without Ticket Type: If this option is selected, the report will show total ticket sales without breaking them down by ticket type. This is useful if you prefer a simplified overview of total sales per performance.
- Report Columns Explained:
- Aud: The auditorium number for reference.
- Issued: The number of tickets issued to customers for the distributor’s films (regardless of status).
- Refund: The number of tickets refunded or voided.
- Total: Final ticket count after accounting for refunds and void
- Net: Net revenue after subtracting applicable taxes.
- Tax: The total amount of tax collected from ticket sales tied to the distributor.
- Gross: Total gross revenue from ticket sales associated with the distributor (includes tax).
Show Detail
The Show Detail section displays ticket sale data per film in a graph-style format, breaking down each showing by ticket type.
- Section Breakdown:
- Sold: Number of tickets sold for a specific ticket type and showing.
- Refund: Number of tickets refunded for that ticket type and showing.
- Sales: Gross sales amount for the ticket type and showing.
- Total (Bottom): Shows the total Sold, Refund, and Sales values for all showings of that ticket type.
- Total (Top Right): Displays the total number of tickets sold across all ticket types and all showings for that film.
Ticket Type Summary
The Ticket Type Summary provides a detailed breakdown of ticket sales by ticket type across all films included in the selected deposit.
This section helps you understand which ticket types (e.g., Adult, Child, Senior, etc.) are contributing most to your overall sales.
- Section Breakdown:
- Ticket Type: The name of the ticket (e.g., Adult, Student, Matinee).
- Issued: Total number of tickets issued for each ticket type.
- Refunded: Number of tickets that were refunded or voided.
- Admissions: Total admissions associated with that ticket type.
- % Admitted: The percentage of total admissions attributed to this ticket type.
- Price: Price per individual ticket.
- Net: Total revenue before tax.
- Tax: Total tax collected for that ticket type.
- Gross Sales: Total revenue including tax (Net + Tax).
- % Sales: The percentage of overall gross sales this ticket type represents.
Title Summary
The Title Summary provides an overview of ticket sales grouped by film title for the selected deposit.
This section is useful for evaluating performance per title and identifying high-performing films during a specific period.
- Section Breakdown:
- Title: The name of the film.
- Gross: Total gross revenue (Net + Tax).
- Net: Revenue before tax.
- Tax: Total sales tax collected.
- Issued: Number of tickets issued.
- Refund: Number of tickets refunded or voided.
- Total Sold: Net number of tickets sold (Issued minus Refunds).
