This article will go over some of the steps to get the Saturn 1000 Card Reader ready to be set up inside of RTS. This includes connecting the card reader to your network and setting a Static IP address for the reader.
I will be including pictures to help with clarity on each of these steps.
Connecting The Reader To Your Network
Step 1: On the touch screen, pull down the top menu on the card reader. You will have to pull down two times to access the full menu.
Step 2: Press the Settings Menu Button (it looks like a Gear Icon).
Step 3: Tap the WLAN setting.
Step 4: Make sure to set this to ON, then connect to your Network by tapping your Network Name and inputting the appropriate password for your Wireless Connection.
Setting A Static IP On The Card Reader
Follow the above steps to access the WLAN area of the menus.
Step 1: Long Press on the Network you are connected to then Tap on Modify Network.
Step 2: Tap on the down arrow for Advanced Options.
Step 3: Scroll down to IP Settings and change it from DHCP to Static.
Step 4: Scroll down again and in this menu, set the IP Address, Gateway, DNS 1, and DNS 2.
Use an IP Address that is outside of the DHCP Range.
Gateway will be the IP of your Router, DNS 1 will be 8.8.8.8, DNS 2 will be 8.8.4.4. Leave the Network Prefix Length as is.
Step 5: Save these settings, and back out to the main menu.
