Kitchen Pickup Viewer

RTS Pickup Viewer

RTS has a built-in Pickup Viewer function. This allows a computer to act as a kitchen order window, displaying orders that need to be cooked.
To set up this feature, you will need to:
  1. enable it on at least one station
  2. configure necessary items to be allowed to display
  3. set up some sort of filtering, either by station or item.
Notes
Note: After you are finished modifying your items, restart the software File -> Other -> Restart Software before testing to ensure your changes have taken effect.

Enabling the Pickup Viewer

  1. Navigate to Setup -> Local Computer
  2. Then click on the "Order Routing" Tab.
  3. Check the box to Enable Pickup Viewer.


Configuring The Pickup Viewer

Allowing Items to be Displayed on Pickup Viewers
In order for items to be displayed on the Pickup Viewer, they must have the Display on Fllorder station option checked.
To set this:
  1. Navigate to Setup -> Concessions -> Items.
  2. Ensure the Display on Fillorder station box is set to True.
  3. Press Save




Controlling What Appears on a Pickup Viewer

RTS currently supports two different methods of controlling what items will be displayed on a specific pickup viewer. This is useful if you need multiple pickup viewers displaying different items.

By Items

Creating an Item Group Configuration allows you to display a specific subset of all the items you've allowed on your Pickup viewer.

1. Navigate to File -> Options.



2. Select the Order Routing Tab
3. Select the Pickup Viewer Options tab
4. Press the blue Item Routing button



5. If you have already made an Item Group configuration, skip this step.
    1. Press the Add button
    2. Enter a name for your Item Group


6. Select the Item Group you wish to use
7. In the Main Item List check all items and subitems to modifiers which are sold individually
8. In the Helper Item List check all items that are used as subitems to modifiers and not sold individually.
9. Press Save
10. On the station(s) being used for the Pickup Viewer:
    1. Navigate to Setup -> Local Computers
    2. Select the Order Routing Tab and the Pickup Viewer tab
    3. In the Item Group Configuration dropdown box, select the configuration you want to use
    4. Delete any station numbers from the Display Pickup Receipts box

By Station

Filtering by station allows you to only display orders from specific stations on your Pickup viewer.

On the Pickup Viewer(s):
1. Navigate to Setup -> Local Computers.

2. Select the Order Routing Tab and the Pickup Viewer tab. Repeat for each station you wish to display orders from.
3. Press the Add button in the Display Pickup Receipts box.

4. Highlight a station
5. Press Ok

  1. Pickup Station
    1. Enable Pickup Viewer: Enabled the Pickup Viewer
    2. Open on RTS Startup: When RTS starts the Pickup Viewer will start, no logging in required
    3. Enable Expeditor Station: Sets the station as an Expeditor Station.
      1. If the Finish Only on Expo Station option is checked in File -> Options -> Order Routing -> Pickup Viewer, only an Expeditor Station may finish orders.
      2. If the Only Display on Expo After Cooked option is checked in File -> Options -> Order Routing -> Pickup Viewer, Items will only display on an Expeditor Station after being finished on a non-expo station
  2. Display Pickup Receipts: If stations are configured here, only purchases from those stations will display on this pickup viewer. See Controlling what appears on a Pickup viewer by Station
  3. Item Group Configuration: If an Item Group Configuration is selected here, only items set in that configuration will display on the pickup viewer, from any station. This setting will take precedence over the Display Pickup Receipts option. See Controlling what appears on a Pickup viewer by Items
  4. Order Window Font Size: Allows you to change the font size on the Pickup Viewer Window.
  5. Direct Printer Routing: A legacy option no longer in use.
  6. Show Print Button: Enables a print button on the pickup viewer. This will print to the printer configured at the Pickup line in the Connections tab of Setup -> Local Computer.
  7. Print Receipt On Finish: A pickup receipt will print when the order is finished from this pickup viewer. This will print to the printer configured at the Pickup line in the Connections tab of Setup -> Local Computer.
  8. Display All Orders When Sent - Override Expo Setting: This expo station will display orders regardless of the Only Display on Expo After Cooked option is checked in File -> Options -> Order Routing -> Pickup Viewer
  9. Hide Order Buttons: Hides the Finish, Up, and Down buttons on the pickup viewer. Orders can still be Finished using a Bump Bar.
  10. Hide Order Headers: Removes extra information, like employee from the order on the screen.

Using the Pickup Viewer

To open the pickup viewer, press the Pickup viewer icon from the main bar inside RTS

  1. Refresh- Refreshes Orders
  2. First Screen (1 of 1)- Multiple Screens for multiple orders
  3. Next- Screen Moves to the next screen
  4. Previous Screen- Pages to the previous screen
  5. Close- Exits the pickup viewer to normal RTS mode
  6. Completed Orders- Displays finished orders
  7. Finish- Complete Order
